Terms of use
These terms apply to your use of sanghyun.me. By using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
1. About these terms
This website is operated by Sanghyun (“Sanghyun”, “we”, “us”), based in Daejeon, Republic of Korea. These terms govern your access to and use of the website and its content. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal information and forms part of these terms.
2. Information only
The content on this site is provided for general information about our company, our technology and our research. It is not an offer to sell, or a solicitation of an offer to buy, any securities, products or services. Nothing on this site creates a partnership, license or other business relationship. Any such relationship requires a separate written agreement signed by both parties.
3. Not medical advice
Nothing on this site is medical advice. The content is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease, and it should not be used as a substitute for advice from a qualified healthcare professional. If you have questions about a medical condition, please consult your doctor.
4. Preclinical and investigational programs
Sanghyun is a research-stage company. Any targets, candidate molecules or therapeutic directions described on this site are preclinical and investigational. None has been approved by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety of Korea, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, the European Medicines Agency or any other regulatory authority. Their safety and efficacy have not been established. References to targets, modalities or potential applications describe research directions, not proven outcomes.
5. Forward-looking statements
This site contains forward-looking statements about our plans, research programs, platform capabilities, collaborations and expectations. Words such as “aim”, “expect”, “intend”, “plan”, “potential”, “will” and similar expressions identify these statements. They are based on our current beliefs and assumptions and involve risks and uncertainties, including the inherent uncertainty of drug discovery, the outcome of experiments, our ability to raise funding, hire staff and maintain collaborations, and changes in regulation. Actual results may differ materially. We undertake no obligation to update forward-looking statements, except as required by law.
6. Intellectual property
The site and its content, including text, graphics, illustrations, logos, the Sanghyun name and the site design, are owned by Sanghyun or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. You may view and print pages for your personal, non-commercial use, and journalists may use materials from our press kit for editorial coverage of Sanghyun. Any other reproduction, modification, distribution or commercial use requires our prior written permission.
Third-party names, tools and trademarks mentioned on the site belong to their respective owners. Their mention does not imply endorsement by or affiliation with those owners.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the site in any way that breaks applicable law or infringes anyone’s rights;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to the site, its hosting infrastructure or any connected system;
- interfere with the site’s operation, including through denial-of-service attacks, malware or excessive automated requests;
- scrape or harvest content or contact details for spam or other unsolicited communications;
- misrepresent your identity or affiliation when contacting us, or impersonate Sanghyun or its personnel.
8. Information you send us
Please do not send us confidential or proprietary information, such as unpublished data or target information, before a confidentiality agreement is in place. Unless we have agreed otherwise in writing, we will not treat unsolicited information as confidential, and sending it does not create any obligation for us.
9. Third-party links
The site may link to websites operated by others, such as scientific publications, software tools or service providers. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. A link does not mean we endorse the linked site.
10. Disclaimers
We work to keep the site accurate and up to date, but the site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that the site will be uninterrupted, secure or free of errors or harmful components.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sanghyun will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, goodwill or business opportunity, arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, the site or its content. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute arising from or related to these terms or the site will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Daejeon District Court as the court of first instance, unless mandatory law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
14. General
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce any provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later. These terms, together with our privacy policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about your use of the site.
