Updates
We are early, so there is not much here yet, and we would rather leave it sparse than pad it. Technical write-ups live in Insights.
New write-up: post-assay error analysis in a closed design loop
How we intend to separate a binding failure from a folding failure, and what each should teach the next cycle.
New write-up: developability constraints before generation
Why nuclease resistance and synthesis cost belong in the objective rather than in a later rescue campaign.
New write-up: why SELEX gets stuck
Our view on enrichment as a biased optimizer, and what that implies for how campaigns should be designed.
Hiring across five roles in Daejeon
Open positions in nucleic acid machine learning, computational structural biology, chemistry, assay development and agent infrastructure.
First target prospects selected
Four target classes chosen as the first proving grounds for the design engine, with the rationale for each published in full.

Boilerplate
Sanghyun is an early-stage company building an agentic discovery and design engine for nucleic acid therapeutics, focused on RNA and DNA aptamers and oligonucleotide binders. The company pairs specialized generative machine learning models with agentic scientific reasoning to design, optimize and prioritize candidates before experimental synthesis, and aims to validate them in a closed loop with wet-lab collaborators at KAIST. Sanghyun was founded in December 2024 by Sanghyun Park, who serves as Chief Executive Officer and Chief Technology Officer, and is based in Daejeon, Republic of Korea. The company is at the research stage and has no clinical programmes.
